Руководство автоконцерна Форд сообщило о собственных намерениях сделать 4 авто на базе Five Hundred. Про это сообщил президент производственного отделения североамериканского отдела компании Дэйв Сцупак (Dave Szczupak) на прошедшей авто пресс-конференции в Дирборне (Dearborn), штат Мичиган.
Со слов Д. Сцупака, 2 авто будут представлять «новый эксклюзивный сектор рынка»; он также заметил, что подобранная политика позволит компании сделать данные модели без ненужной потери времени и денежных средств.
Предполагается, что на базе Five Hundred будут сконструированы внедорожник-кроссовер Форд Fairlane и равносильная модель под брендом Link.
Помимо этого, ожидается, что Link MKS будет базируется на данной же базе. Про 4-ю модель пока ничего неизвестно.
К слову, Link Zephyr, Форд Фьюжн, Форд Эдж, Link MKX и Мазда CX9 также сконструированы на совместной базе.
